This project is being done with the aim of raising awareness of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome thus changing the statistics, so women can be diagnosed at an earlier age and can undergo the treatments that are required. This will be executed in the form of a video documentary. The documentary will be entitled ‘Cysterhood: The Story of PCOS.’ This documentary is needed in Jamaica to tell the story of the many girls and women, ages 14 to 50,  who are suffering from PCOS and to bring light to the conversation while providing information that will help others to understand the condition. It will explore the story of two women who have been suffering from PCOS from as early as puberty and was diagnosed years later. They will speak of their symptoms, diagnosis, factors that affect them as a result of PCOS, and methods of treatment as well as the impact that it has had on their lives.
